The differences between an expensive and not-so-expensive spectacles

I just bought a new spectacles. As usual, the frame is red in colour. ( I just love RED!!!!) The spectacles costs me RM 515 which is quite cheap compared to my previous. My previous spectacles is RM 950. Can you see the differences??

My previous spectacles is quite branded. It's SCHWARZENBACH. That explains the expensive price. Not only that, the lenses of my spectacles are from NIKON. The difference between Nikon lenses and normal lenses is it's field of vision. The Nikon lens is so good that when you wear it, you wouldn't the notice the frame. My spectacles are both full-framed. When you look down, you won't see the frame. The field of vision is so wide. That's my old spectacles. The new one is okay but it really disturbing my view. Even when I look straight ahead, I kept noticing the red frame. I can see the frame clearly. I can even see how thick my frame is. Both the spectacles are of the same size but the new spectacles feel really small. Even though I have a new spectacles, I feel comfortable wearing the old one.

I choose the cheap one this time because I would only wear it during classes. I still have my contact lenses, so I thought "Just buy a cheap one la. Nk g class je pun. Lau nk g jejalan, contacts kn ade."

I post this in out of my irritation.

The left one is the new spectacles while the right is the old one.

SWAG....

Hi everybody, it's been a while. I've been very busy with college activities and classes, that I didn't have time to update. Sorry.

Guess what?? For the very 1st time, I was appointed as the 'Pengarah Program' Miles For MAKNA 2013. It was my first time as a Pengarah, and to add the pressure, it's not a mere college event, but it's an event under UPM. It's a big program as it is a collaboration of UPM with Majlis Kanser Nasional (MAKNA). And imagine me myself as the Pengarah. The pressure was unbearable. Not to worry, I will publish a special post about the event later.

Anyway, let's go back to our topic.

SWAG. What does that mean? Been hearing people said about it but not knowing the meaning behind it. Allow me to entertain you.

The word SWAG is commonly used by hip hop crowd. It's their own way saying that they're cool, different and above others. For example, if someone said "I got swag, bro!", it means that he had something (for example: style, attitude) that other people didn't have.

Here, let me give you a situation. Just imagine an underground hip hop club. There's a lot of hip hop gang hanging around. And then, suddenly, a guy (let's call him, Joe) kicked the door open, entering in a smug way. With hand in his pockets, his back hunched a little. Wearing shades, beanie, pants that hung loose on his butt. Looking straight, ignoring the existence of people around him, walking confidently towards.. hurm, maybe a friend of him . Then a spectator, with drool at the corner of his mouth said "He definitely got swag". SWAG here means the way he walks, the way he act. The confident side of him.

Actually, SWAG has a lot of meaning. It came from the word SWAGGER that means walk or behave in a confident way. It's often connected with arrogant and overconfident. The definition of SWAG evolves as the years passed by. So, don't be surprised if you encountered a different meaning of that word.

I wrote all of this based on my understanding. I always watch G-dragon music videos. Kpop lovers always connect him to SWAG. He also includes the word SWAG in his lyrics. Fine, I know some of you didn't like (or HATE) Kpop. His new song, ONE OF A KIND, is a good example of SWAG.

When I watch this kind of videos, I couldn't help being impressed. I mean, being confident isn't easy. To be honest, I have no self-confident when I first entered UPM. However, I got through it. How I got through it, I will tell you in the next post.
